    Hi,



    I would like to enquire about the NanoTracker. My questions are as follows




    1: Can the NanoTracker work with a SIM card from any mobile network.


    2: Is it possible to get the data the NanoTracker is retrieving and send it to my own database as opposed to using the telit IOT cloud system?


    3: How do you get access to the software development kit for this device



    I would appreciate any information you could give me regarding this.

    1. yes, you could use any Nano-Simcard, device have no Simlock


    2. yes, you could use your own database or cloud.


    3. You can only request after you buy a NanoTracker the source code, before you could see the classes for API in the
    manual.

    I have some more questions regarding the NanoTracker:
    1. Is it possible to ssh with the NanoTracker so the time intervals for the gps tracking could be set remotely.
    2. How does the Geofencing function work, for example what data does it require to be implemented, or does it work off a certain radius from a set point where, if the tracker leaves the specified radius there is some alert generated?

    1. SSH is not possible. You can implement the code in a way where you send a SMS to the Nanotracker to change its parameters remotely. Another option is to implement a socket to a server where the Nanotracker initiates it. Then you can have the code send and receive commands.


    2. To implement this on the NanoTracker, then yes a radius is used to define the Geofence. However, more sophisticated Geofences can be implemented on the cloud side.

    What information does the accelerometer provide and what format is it in?


    Also is it possible to append some sort of unique ID to the gps string when its being sent to a database to uniquely identify multiple NanoTrackers

  • HI,


    This a a 3-axis accelerometer and you can read the acceleration among the X,Y, and Z directions. You can also enable some built in functions in the accelerometer to detect activity/inactivity which is currently implemented.
    The accelerometer is connected to the microcontroller. The microcontroller can read the information from the accelerometer and send it to the telit module. There is a I2C connection between them however the bandwidth is limited since I2C is bitbang implementation on the Telit module. Please keep that in mind.
    The accelerometer on the Nanotracker is LIS2HH12TR from st.com
    You can add a unique string to identify the GPS module. We offer the scripts as Opensource so you could make any changes to them. You can use the cellular's modules IMEI as the unique string.
