I just wanted to know if there are any further specifications regardig the digital voice interface (DVI). I could find out that it's a four wire interface (RX, TX, CLK and WA).
Is the PCM data sampled with 8kHz? How many bits? Is it linear or is one of the compression laws used?
Has somebody had any experience creating an audio frontend on the DVI? Any suggestion? The MAX9851 decoder is obsolote already and its successor, the MAX98088, comes in a WLP package (pretty nasty to solder and PCB design requires multilayer). Has somebody used any other chip to decode/encode PCM?
