problem about operation of gm862

currently i`m operating the gm862 with a RS-EB-S1 board as an interface, but the gm862 seems to be not functioning.

-4 volt supplied from power supply.
-controlled by ms hyperterminal.

the problem is that the gm862 is always on the idle mode and i am unable to type anything in the hyperterminal. i only able to do so if only i take out the antenna, resulting in "CREG = 0,3"(no network).

how to make the gm862 active?

problem about operation of gm862

hmm...after reading some useful site on the forum... i manage to get the led to light up

but still the problem is still there..
the led tends to blink for a few seconds after power-up then it goes to off...

its sounds like auto-off or maybe stanby mode, but the pin 13 of max 3238 is short to pin 14...should this be the way it operates?

or maybe is there still something i have not set??

need...help or maybe beg for help

thanks.chris.

It sounds like your power supply voltage to the module drops below 3.4V when the mobile is doing the first transmission burts to register to the network....

Be sure that the power supply can provide the 2A and that the voltage on the module never drops below 3.4V.
