The CloudGate M2M Ethernet Gateway provides LAN to WWAN routing and GPS functionality. The CloudGate M2M Ethernet Gateway from Option is certified on all major US cellular operators (CDMA/EvDO and WCDMA/HSPA+). The CloudGate can be simply configured locally or remotely with a PC, tablet or a SmartPhone. CloudGate detects and resolves common problems related with wireless M2M connectivity. Software and hardware watchdogs, which are built-in, monitor each component of the unit and the connection with home servers. Digital signatures protect all software and configuration images, which also have dual rollback (backup) images that allow the product to revert to previous working settings. Management functions can be protected with a certificate and/or with a password based security mechanisms. CloudGate has two hardware expansion slots that allow the CloudGate to be expanded with radio and/or wired interfaces. The expansion cards are simple and quick to install. Each CloudGate can be set with its own custom configuration and image that is automatically loaded from the cloud by first connection to the internet.
